travel journal

In 2019, I set off to the other side of the world (it's pretty nice there).

Armed with an oversized backpack, a loose idea of where I wanted to go and a strong desire to turn from pasty to tasty (I also winced reading that) I landed in Adelaide, Australia in early January.

With my partner, Nat, I lived and worked on the Australian East Coast (replenishing our rapidly dwindled funds); hitch-hiked from the very south of South Island to the very north of North Island in New Zealand, and travelled six countries in South East Asia.

On this page you'll find the light-hearted blog I kept whilst away, documenting all the highs and the very, very lows (see: projectile vomit)

These were mostly written bleary-eyed on bumpy overnight buses. I hope you can't tell.
